CHSAA Scholarships

   The CHSAA scholarship program was established to award monetary scholarships to CHS graduates.  
   We invite you to contribute to this important scholarship fund and to encourage your friends and former classmates to do the same.

Abbi Capps, 2014 Scholarship Winner

   Abbi Capps receives the Van/Vickie Bell Leadership Award at the Academic Pep Assembly in May 2014.  Abbi is attending SIU-Edwardsville.  This is the third year Van/Vickie Bell (1964/65 graduates) have awarded this $2,000 scholarship and we appreciate their continued support.

 

 

  2014 "Wildbunch" Scholarship Winners 

Pictured above are: Cindy Kessler, Keith Kessler, Reid Shipley, Shannon Shipley, Bob Kell, Bill Still, James “Al” Danielwicz, Mike Ellis, Trip Kessler, Mike Steinmann, Ryan Shipley, Tom Miller, Coach Dick Carpenter and Coach Don Smith.

Trip Kessler and Ryan Shipley, 2014 graduates of Centralia High School, were each
awarded $3,000 scholarships from the “69” CHS Wild Bunch Football Team at the
CYFL golf tournament fundraiser in May. This is the third year the Wild Bunch
Football Team has awarded scholarships to CHS athletes, bringing their total
donated to $14,000. Trip Kessler was Orphan of the Year for this season. He
will be attending the University of Illinois in the fall and studying chemistry. Ryan
Shipley was CHS defensive player of the year for this season and First Team All
Conference. He will be attending Concordia Chicago in the fall and studying
graphic arts. Both Kessler and Shipley played CYFL for four years and CHS football
all four years of their high school career.
