CHSAA Distinguished Alumni
   Each year the Centralia High School Alumni Association recognizes distinguished alumni from all walks of life and occupations.  Don Beckmeyer was a member of the induction class of 2014 and was honored in ceremonies at the high school and the Elks Lodge.  see photos

Graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Banking, 1981

Started career in banking at First Granite City National Bank- became President in 1984

Served as President/CEO of Magna Bank/Union Planters Bank for its 38 locations in southwestern Illinois, 1988-2005

Served as President/CEO of the BANK of Edwardsville, 2005-2015

Serves on the McKendree University Board of Trustees

Serves on the Board of Directors of Belleville Memorial Hospital

Served on the Leadership Council of Southwestern Illinois

Served on the United Way Illinois Auxiliary Board

Serves as a board member of the Bobby Joe Mason Foundation

Recieved the Distinguished Citizen Award and Lifetime Achievement Award from the Lewis & Clark Council Boy Scouts of America

Received the Humanitarian Award from the Alton Chapter NAACP

Received the Justine Petersen Lifetime Achievement Award

Received the Alumni Achievement Award from the SIU College of Science
