CHSAA Distinguished Alumni
   Each year the Centralia High School Alumni Association recognizes distinguished alumni from all walks of life and occupations.  Gary J. Gaetti was a member of the induction class of 2012 and was honored in ceremonies at the high school and the historical museum.  see photos

Played in the Minor Leagues 1979-1981

Played in the Major Leagues 1982-2000

Member of the Minnesota Twins World Series Championship Team 1987
MVP of the American League Championship Series 1987

Received 4 Golden Glove Awards

Recipient of the Silver Slugger Award 1995

Elected to the All-Star team twice 1988 & 1989

Only player ever to start 2 triple plays in one 9-inning game
(picture and ball displayed in Baseball Hall of Fame, Cooperstown, NY)

Started 6 triple plays during his career-a Major League record

Served as hitting coach for the Houston Astros in the 2005 World Series

Served as hitting coach for 8 years in the Minor Leagues

Manager of the minor league team "Skeeters" in 2012
